HOW TO USE GPT

GPT is an advanced artificial intelligence created by OpenAI that utilizes the GPT-4 architecture. It is capable of generating text based on the queries you enter, simulating a conversation with a human. In this article, we will explain how to use GPT, where to register, how to work with the service and give some typical tips for use.

Registration

  1. Go to the OpenAI website (https://www.openai.com/)…
  2. Find and click the “Sign up” or “Register” button on the home page.
  3. Fill out the registration form, including your email address, password and additional details if required.
  4. Confirm your registration by clicking the link sent to the email address provided.
  5. If you will be using a paid subscription (you can make do with a free one to start with, but professional use is more likely to involve a paid one)

Working with the service

After successful registration you will have access to the interface of working with GPT. Working with the service is based on sending text requests and receiving generated responses.

Just enter your request in the text field and click “Send” or “Send” button. GPT will generate a response, which you will see on the screen.

Please note: GPT does not “know” anything about events that occurred after September 21st, and is accordingly limited in its responses to this limiting date of knowledge. Nevertheless, it is sufficient for 99% or more of the tasks)

How to use GPT – typical tasks

GPT can be used for a wide variety of tasks. Here are some typical examples of tips you can use:

  1. Formulate a question: if you need an answer to a specific question, formulate it clearly and concisely so that GPT can understand what is expected of it. For example: “What are the most popular attractions in Rome?”
  2. Content Creation: The GPT can help you create different types of content. For example, ask him to write an article or text on a particular topic: “Write an article on the benefits of electric cars.”
  3. Translation: GPT can be used to translate text from one language to another. Simply specify the source and target languages: “Translate the following text from English into Elven: ‘The weather is nice today.’”
  4. Problem Solving: If you have a problem, you can ask GPT to suggest a solution or give advice. For example: “How can I deal with procrastination?”
  5. Generate ideas: GPT can help generate ideas for your project or business. For example: “Suggest ideas for a mobile app that will be popular in 2024.”
  6. Help with learning: GPT can serve as an additional resource when learning new topics and subjects. Ask questions related to your learning: “Explain the basics of probability theory.”
  7. Short Paraphrases: If you need to quickly understand a text or article, ask the GPT to provide a short paraphrase: “Give a summary of the novel ‘War and Peace’.”
  8. Creativity: The GPT can help with creative tasks such as writing poetry, screenplays, or stories: “Write a short story about the adventures of a time traveler.”

GPT can also “imagine yourself” as someone. You might well suggest answering a question the way Steve Jobs would, or becoming for a time a professional psychologist who is leading a session with his or her patient on some problematic situation.

GPT is also pretty good at writing applications, at least the simplest ones. For example, our director, having no experience in iOS app development, asked iOS to create a simple app, describing what it should do, and GPT literally described step by step what to do, where to click, where to enter what code.

GPT has basic ethics built into it. Most likely it will not answer any unethical questions related to violence, racial differences, etc. However, some skillful people circumvent this too with special queries, effectively “social engineering”, only directed against AI.

GPT is a powerful tool that can help you with a wide variety of tasks, from content creation and learning to creativity and problem solving. Simply sign up on the OpenAI website, enter your query, and receive a generated response from GPT.
